How to disable the "Remember my credentials" feature for all the Mailboxes on my Hosted Exchange 2007 Server for all users in my company.
I have a little more than 80 Microsoft Exchange 2007 Mailboxes hosted by an external company. All the users connect to their mailboxes with either Microsoft Outlook 2007 or 2010 and they all have the possibility to save their passwords which is a security issue for our company. I want to be able to disable that feature called "Remember my credentials". I have looked into many forums and many questions/answers site, but i never found a solution that was specific to my request, most topics are about how to completely remove the credentials (windows security) window, which is the exact opposite of what I want. I want every user on my domain to HAVE TO enter their credentials every time they start Outlook or stay inactive for a certain time(Idle). I don't mind if Outlook allows to save the username (email address), but I cannot allow for password to be saved by users. I'm sure this is possible, just haven't found out how yet! Please Help!

Hi JuniorTechGuy, Give this a try: deploy a suitably placed GPO with the following enabled policy... Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\ Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication This will prevent client machines affected by the enabled policy from storing credentials. Kind Regards

Thank you AllBarOne, this confirms that the issue is not on the side of the hosted exchange server, but in my own local network's GPO. My sysadmin is looking into it right now. Thanks again!
